Card-based payment acceptance
Card-based payment acceptance
Public-sector entities can streamline their collections by using POS and ePOS solutions, which enable secure acceptance of card payments both online and at physical service points. These services integrate easily into the entity’s existing processes and are supported by certified, high-security systems.
- Electronic cheque handling
- Reduced operating costs and operational risk for the bank
For Public-Sector Entities
Public-sector entities can collect payments using payment cards.
Transactions can be carried out:
- online, through the entity’s website (ePOS application), and
- at physical service points, via EFT/POS devices installed at the entity’s premises.
Accepted cards are those agreed between the public-sector entity and the cooperating Payment Service Providers. Approval of each transaction is given exclusively by the card-issuing Payment Service Provider.
The entity receives transaction reports from DIAS, while the collected funds are credited to the account maintained with the cooperating Payment Service Provider.
All payments are secure and fully aligned with the requirements of the PCI DSS standard.
Service Advantages
Convenience and fast payment at service points
Modernisation of services; elimination of issues related to cash handling
Immediate confirmation of payment settlement to the Public-Sector Entity
For Payment Service Providers
DIAS enables Payment Service Providers (acquirers) to support card-based payments within their cooperation framework with public-sector entities and organisations.
Specifically, DIAS collects transaction data from EFT/POS devices, from the organisation’s website through the ePOS application, or through other specialised DIAS electronic payment applications, and routes transactions—based on predefined rules—to the appropriate Payment Service Provider.
Approval of each transaction is given exclusively by the card-issuing Provider.
DIAS provides both the public-sector entity and the Payment Service Provider with full reporting on completed transactions.
