Dimitra Vourna was born in Athens and she holds an Economics degree from the Economic University of Athens and an MBA in Marketing and Finance from ALBA. She is also a Chief Operating Foundation Course graduate from Cambridge University.
She has an in depth experience in the financial sector in Greece and in the European Region and currently she is the Chief Operating Officer at Attica Bank. She has been the Chief Operating Officer at HSBC in Greece, while previously she was appointed as the Head of Operations Europe HSBC, having under her responsibility 19 countries in the European Region. Previously she was the Head of Wealth Management in Retail Banking in HSBC and she started her career at Piraeus Asset Management.
Among others, during the years 2017-2022 she was the Gender Balance chair for Europe in HSBC and she was actively involved in ensuring that all people across the region had equal opportunities and that the female representation in leadership positions was increasing.
