Ioannis Tsikripis is the Director General of Prudential Supervision and Resolution at the Bank of Greece, where he has been working for over 20 years. Until recently, he held the position of Director of the Financial Stability Department, having gained significant experience - among others - in banking supervision and risk management. His professional tenure also includes commercial banking and financial consulting. He is an alternate member of the SSM Supervisory Board, and he has served as a member of various other Eurosystem committees, such as the Financial Stability Committee and the Advisory Technical Committee of the European Central Bank. He holds a PhD from Panteion University, a Masters degree from the University of Southampton, and an undergraduate degree from the Athens University of Economics and Business.
