DIAS SA, being the National Automated Clearing House (ACH) has developed and operates its Payment System, through which interbank payments are handled and cleared electronically both within the country and on a pan-European level.

In 2022, the invoiced transactions processed by DIAS amounted to 368 million, with a value of 407 billion euros, more than twice the Greek Gross National Product (GDP).

In the “Protagonists of the Greek Economy 2023” a total of 106 leading Greek companies were awarded, which through their turnover generated 11% of the National GDP, offering 90,000 job positions. The “Greek Business Champions” category, in which DIAS was awarded, includes companies with a turnover of over 10 million euros and simultaneously recorded an increase of more than 15%, in both turnover and pre-tax profits.

Commenting on the honorary distinction, the CEO of DIAS S.A., Stavroula Kampouridou, stressed: “The honorary distinction in prestigious awards, such as the “Protagonists of the Greek Economy”, is proof of the successful change of the “identity” of DIAS Interbanking Systems SA, which - now - operates in terms of a modern technology company, as a result of a coherent and well-executed transformation plan, which takes place during the last two and a half years. With the great cooperation we have established with the Bank of Greece, our member banks, other payment service providers, and all stakeholders who are involved in the field of electronic payments in Greece, we have all contributed to the modernization of the payment landscape, to the benefit of businesses, the public sector, the financial system and ultimately the citizens-users of our products and services. Thus, our figures are evolving at double-digit growth rates up to now, for the 3rd consecutive year.”
